Iron, copper, silver and gold, but not only them. Even stones, marbles and fossils have been used in Tuscany to make tools and ornaments: ductile materials that man has been able to shape to facilitate daily life and to pursue beauty with decoration of people and the world around them. Metalworking has been so important to define three specific ages in human history: copper, bronze and iron age, when man literally shaped the surrounding world and his mind through the creation of more and more important artifacts, from containers to weapons, to the wheel.
This production has never stopped since then, it has followed, and sometimes precisely defined human evolution. In Valdichiana today we can find craftsmen who follow ancient and modern techniques to create objects in metal and stone, with a mainly aesthetic destination of use, unique works of art telling us about a thousand-year history.
